Itinerary
Day 0 — Sat Sept 5
Board and provision at MOYS Marina di Olbia. Olbia is a working port with grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. First skippers’ briefing this evening.
Day 1 — Sun Sept 6
The social heart of the Costa Smeralda. Anchor in the new port or take a marina berth. Excellent restaurants and a lively promenade make for a memorable first evening.
Day 2 — Mon Sept 7
The main town of the archipelago. Tie up stern-to at Cala Gavetta and explore on foot — excellent gelato, fresh seafood, and the Garibaldi museum.

Day 3 — Tue Sept 8
International waters — passports required aboard. Bonifacio sits on dramatic limestone cliffs carved by the Maestrale. Marina tucked below the old town; walk up the cliff stairs to restaurants and cafes.
Day 4 — Wed Sept 9
Day at anchor. Dinghy trips to the grottos, swimming off the boat, hiking the cliff-top citadel. Optional kayak rentals available from the marina.
Day 5 — Thu Sept 10
Depart Bonifacio in the morning, anchor at Cala di Corsara, Spargi for a swim stop and lunch (the most beautiful water on the route). Continue east to Porto Palma, Caprera — sheltered anchorage surrounded by pink granite boulders inside the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park.

Day 6 — Fri Sept 11
Short passage south from Caprera to Porto Rotondo for the final overnight. Elegant marina village with good restaurants and a protected harbor.
Day 7 — Sat Sept 12
Depart Porto Rotondo by 08:45. Arrival Olbia Marina by 10:00. Check-out, luggage collection, depart. A short, easy final leg.

What to Bring
- Passport (required for Bonifacio, Corsica)
- Soft duffel or dry bag — no hard-shell roller bags. Roller bags must be stowed in the lazarette or forepeak, both of which can get wet underway.
- Clothing layers: days are warm but passages can be cool and spray-wet
- Sun protection: high-SPF sunscreen, hat, UV shirt
- Non-slip deck shoes or bare feet only on deck
- Seasickness medication (start the day before departure if prone)
- Reef-safe sunscreen only in national park waters
- Snorkel mask (gear provided but personal masks preferred)
- Small day pack for going ashore
- Travel insurance with medical evacuation coverage

- Life jackets and safety harnesses (all sizes)
- Snorkeling gear (masks, fins, snorkels)
- First-aid kit and flares
- Provisioning on Day 0 (basics: water, breakfast items, coffee)
- Dinghy and outboard for shore trips at anchor
Weather Notes
September in the Strait of Bonifacio: expect Force 3–4 from the NW (Maestrale) with occasional stronger bursts. The Maestrale can build quickly — all fleet movements are subject to skipper discretion based on conditions. Forecasts reviewed each morning before departure.
